In a symphony of steam, storytelling, and style, Montblanc transported guests into a cinematic universe at Milan Fashion Week with the global premiere of Let’s Write, the Maison’s second short film directed by Wes Anderson. Set against the surreal backdrop of a historic train depot transformed into a Wes-worthy dreamscape, the event was a tribute to the timeless power of writing and the Maison’s evolving creative expression. With a starry guest list and Montblanc’s first-ever fashion presentation, the night marked a bold new chapter for a house long rooted in heritage, but never afraid to imagine forward.
Montblanc took over Milan’s historic Central Station to unveil its second short film with acclaimed director Wes Anderson—Let’s Write. Guests were whisked away aboard the custom Montblanc Train, arriving at the transformed Squadra Rialzo Milano Centrale depot, which served as the heart of the immersive event. With nods to vintage travel and Wes Anderson’s unmistakable cinematic aesthetic, the evening merged storytelling and spectacle in signature Montblanc style.
Building on the fantastical universe of their first film, Let’s Write dives deeper into Montblanc’s heritage of writing, creation, and whimsical exploration. Co-directed by Roman Coppola, the film stars Rupert Friend, Waris Ahluwalia, and Esther McGregor, and delivers Anderson’s trademark blend of humour, colour, and nostalgic charm. As a love letter to creativity, the film continues the Maison’s storytelling mission through a distinctly cinematic lens.
As guests dined by candlelight, an unexpected blackout transformed the ambience—ushering in Montblanc’s debut fashion moment. Models stepped out from vintage train carriages in precise procession, revealing a 16-look capsule of refined sophistication. The standout? Sculpted leather jackets envisioned by Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta—each a sartorial homage to the writer’s desk, blending elegance with creative heritage.
Since taking the reins in 2021, Tomasetta has mined Montblanc’s Hamburg archives for inspiration. The leather jackets represent his latest innovation—transforming the essence of the writing desk into fashion. Styled with Spring/Summer 2026 accessories, the capsule collection brings a tactile intimacy to Montblanc’s vision of creativity. “It’s the most intimate expression of Montblanc heritage yet,” Tomasetta shared. “Something you carry on your body and that literally becomes part of you.”
Beyond celebrity flair, equestrian communities like Grand Polo are redefining elite living—where horse stables, private arenas, and green acreage symbolize a lifestyle rooted in heritage, power, and privacy.
